Partners for Rural Transformation and FICO to Release Credit Education Webinar Series

Webinar series aims to improve credit access in underserved rural communities

May 20, 2026 – Building on the recently announced partnership, Partners for Rural Transformation (PRT) and global analytics software leader FICO, today announced the release of an on-demand webinar series aimed at expanding access to credit in historically underserved rural communities. The series equips community advocates and credit counselors with tools and training they need to better serve their communities.

The series includes:

“What FICO® Offers” Orientation:

An overview of all no cost and inclusive FICO credit empowerment and education offerings, such as the FICO® Score A Better Future program.

Demystifying FICO® Scores for Credit and Financial Counselors:

This 60-minute webinar is designed to empower credit counselors with a comprehensive overview of FICO® Scores, including the five key categories that make up a FICO® Score and how credit scoring works. Community advocates and credit counselors will leave better prepared to guide clients through their financial journey with confidence.

FICO® Score A Better Future™ Ambassador Program:

This free initiative program equips community advocates with comprehensive resources and training on credit and FICO® Scores, enabling them to deliver impactful workshops to community groups. Ambassadors play a key role in expanding financial literacy and supporting individuals on their path to informed credit management.

“Understanding credit is an important step toward building a stronger financial future and expanding that understanding in rural America requires the right tools and partners,” said Rukiya Kelly, global head of corporate impact at FICO. “This webinar series reflects FICO’s commitment to turning credit understanding into action and equipping more rural Americans with tools to access the financial opportunities they need and deserve.”

This series is part of a partnership between FICO and PRT that will strengthen the capacity of rural-serving Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to better understand, adopt, and leverage FICO tools to reach rural Americans. The initiative focuses on improving understanding and engagement to help more people navigate lending options and financial resources.
